Catalog description

A continuation of SWK 3800, this course provides students with the necessary skills for working with groups, organizations, and communities to affect social change. The course enables students to research and gather date from community stakeholders to explain the impact of social problems and identify a solution. Students will incorporate diverse and inclusive perspectives to explain impacts of social problems as well as advocate for client access to services and social justice. This course challenges social work students to critically look at their role in society as change agents. Social work majors must complete this course with a minimum of grade C. PREREQ: SWK 3800, 3810, 3900, and 4450 COREQ: SWK 4900, SWK 3910
