Catalog description

This course introduces students to the fundamentals of social statistics. It focuses on basic statistical concepts, computation and summarization of numeric data, computation of descriptive statistics, applying probability theory to test of hypothesis, computation and interpretation of inferential and multivariate statistics, and identification of appropriate technique for research questions and sets of variables. Social work majors must complete this course with a minimum of grade C. PREREQ: MAT 1050 or higher; SWK 2000, 2450, 3050, 3450, and 3480 COREQ: SWK 3800, 4450, 3900
