An overview of school social work as an area of social work practice. Emphasis will be placed upon historical development, legislation affecting school social work practice, problems of school age children, and the role of the school social worker in dealing with these problems. Social work majors must complete this course with a minimum of grade C. PREREQ: SWK 2000; SWK 3800
