Catalog description
This course will emphasize theory, curriculum development, inquiry, critical thinking, classroom management, instructional strategies, selection of appropriate instructional materials, and evaluation procedures for teaching world languages in grades K-12.Through personal and group reflections and discussions, students will develop a vision for improving their teaching of the Spanish Language. Students will be able to critically evaluate existing teaching practices and materials based on their understanding of theory and research in second language acquisition and develop teaching materials for the classroom. PREREQ: Permission of the Spanish Program Director
