Catalog description

This course will study the important elements of Spanish articulatory phonetics. Students will be introduced to the formal linguistic analysis of the Spanish sound system, phonetic transcriptions, and theoretical analyses of phonetic and phonological singularities. The course will have a theoretical component, a practical approach to the study of the Spanish sound system, and Survey of dialectal variation. PREREQ: Permission of the Spanish Program Director
