Foundations of Science Education

Catalog description

Contemporary learning theories and current research including a critical analysis of current trends, issues, and problems in science education from multiple perspectives. Students will contemplate what is science, what it means to teach science, and strategies for teaching science to diverse populations of students. Students will learn how to teach using NGSS and scientific argumentation. Students will interpret, implement, and develop a variety of different types of three-dimensional science assessments.
