Catalog description
Course is a survey of the history, philosophy, concepts and trends in therapeutic recreation services; types of individuals served, settings and services provided, and the role of the therapeutic recreation specialist. The course is designed to provide an overview of therapeutic recreation services as a leisure service delivery system and the impact of a disability on the individual as well as personal and societal responses to people with disabilities. Note: This course does not meet the license requirements as defined by the North Carolina Board of Recreational Therapy.
