Catalog description

This course will cover the pre- and post-colonial role of sport, recreation, and physical activity in indigenous and Native American communities. This course will explore historical, contemporary, and socio-cultural issues related to the role of sport and recreation in the lives of indigenous communities globally with special attention paid to Indigenous people of North America.
