Catalog description

This course introduces the effects of disease, trauma, injury, or genetic anomalies on the human body and systems. Students will learn terminology commonly encountered in medical and allied health professions, and explore the effects that illness, trauma, and disease have on an individual’s occupational function. This course will cover clinical orthopedic, developmental, neurological, and congenital disorders encountered by occupational therapists.
