Geometry
University of North Carolina at Pembroke · UGRD · Fall 2026
Catalog description
This course covers key areas of geometry, including Plane, Solid, Coordinate, and Transformational Geometry, along with Trigonometry, Logic, and Measurement Systems. Students will explore both Euclidean and non-Euclidean geometries through an axiomatic approach, starting with foundational concepts-such as points, lines, angles, polygons, and volume-and advancing to comparisons of definitions, axioms, theorems, and postulates across geometries. The connection between Euclidean and non-Euclidean systems will be emphasized, with technology integrated throughout the course. PREREQ: MAT 2300 PREREQ/COREQ: MAT 3150 COREQ: MAT 3150
