Catalog description

This course introduces a series of concepts, models, and technology mechanisms and architectures of distributed computer systems in an enterprise environment characterized by a high degree of complexity, large scale, and heterogeneity. It also explores the security methods and mechanisms that can be used to counter and prevent the threats. Topics include data grid computing, cluster computing, cloud computing, virtualization, and various security methods, such as encryption, hashing, digital signatures, Public Key Infrastructures, Identity and Access Management Systems, Single Sign-On, cloud-based security groups, and other topics that may be relevant. PREREQ: ITC 2080, CYB 3020, and ( ITC 3070 or CSC 3360)
