Catalog description

This capstone course asks that students build upon skills acquired in HST 3000 and other advanced history courses by capitalizing on their larger university experience. Participants will complete a semester-long project rooted in examining an area of history selected by the professor. Based on appropriate primary and secondary sources, this task will require that they answer a research question by honing their interpretative and communicative abilities. Such a project bolsters the student’s self-assessment of content knowledge and skill acquisition. PREREQ: HST 3000 and Completion of 12 total hours of advanced history courses (3000 or 4000 level HST or HSTS).
