Catalog description

A survey of world civilizations from 1500 to the present, with attention to major cultural, social, economic, and political trends within each civilization. Emphasis is given to the interaction between expanding European and North American civilizations and non‑Western civilizations in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. This course fulfills the student learning outcomes and the required documents of the Foundations of American Democracy graduation requirement.
