Catalog description

Analysis of selected contemporary events from the points of view of history, political science, psychology, geography, economics, philosophy, religion, and sociology, in the light of weekly world developments. Emphasis upon the appreciation and development of logic and style in critical thought in considering international and domestic conflicts, human rights and institutional effectiveness, freedom and responsibility, and resources, technology, and the environment. Honors students receive General Education credit for a course in the Social Sciences Division. PREREQ: Honors College students only
