Catalog description

Emphasis is on developing a foundation for future research projects through an in-depth investigation of a topic of interest. This course expands on initial readings from EXER 5060 and prepares the student for planning the research proposal in EXER 5980. Students should expect to design and prepare an in-depth review of literature related to a topic of interest and identify possible research instruments to collect data in future semesters. Successful completion of this course is required for admission to EXER 5980. All students are expected to demonstrate mastery of basic statistics and mastery of APA (7 th edition) formatting for in-text citations and reference list entries. PREREQ: EXER 5060
