Catalog description

This course examines research-based methods for teaching reading and writing skills using systematic, explicit, and multisensory approaches. Candidates study reading and writing acquisition, literacy development, and instructional strategies related to reading foundational skills, vocabulary, comprehension, fluency, and writing. Emphasis is on designing effective, evidence-based instruction to support literacy growth.
