Catalog description

In this course, candidates will develop a comprehensive understanding of school-based management, focusing on effective strategies for managing and leading school operations. Emphasis will be placed on creating and implementing systems that improve key areas such as student discipline, safety, attendance, and teacher performance, with the goal of increasing student achievement. Candidates will explore organizational complexities, review current research, and ensure compliance with policy and law. Through realistic scenarios, candidates will gain practical experience addressing challenges faced by school-based administrators, while examining the critical relationship between leadership and management. Candidates will participate in field experience resulting in an evidence-based plan for organizational management.
