Catalog description

Crosslisted: ECE This online course is intended for students who are enrolled in the Master of Arts in Teaching program. This course covers theoretical principles, evidence-based instructional practices, and classroom interactions that promote math and science learning in the early childhood classroom. Includes an overview of young children’s use of logic and reasoning and includes specific methods and strategies for designing activities, environments, and carrying on conversations that promote science and math abilities, problem solving and deeper thinking. Field Experience Required. PREREQ: EDN 5040, 5120, 5450 (EDN Core 9 hours); ECE 5060 Assessment in Birth to Kindergarten
