Integrated Curricula and Appropriate Practices: Preschoolers

Catalog description

This course provides a study of curricula and program models appropriate for implementation in inclusive preschool classrooms. Emphasis will be placed on integrating disciplines through the application of the Foundations: Early Learning Standards for North Carolina Preschoolers, ages 3-4 years. Participants will plan and implement center-based instructional activities designed to motivate young children to engage in discovery learning, as well as conduct assessments of children and reflect on their teaching. Admission to the Educator Preparation Program is required.
