Catalog description

This course will prepare early childhood professionals to identify and address the special health, safety and nutrition issues of young children, birth-5 years, with and without disabilities, in a variety of educational settings. Students will demonstrate competence in strategies required to manage health issues in classroom settings, collaborate with other professionals, and to communicate with parents in caring for the health needs of young children. PREREQ: Must have no less than a 2.0 overall GPA.
