Foundations of Early Childhood Education

Catalog description

This course is designed to introduce students to the field of early childhood education. Topics include the history, theories, and approaches of early childhood education, professional roles and expectations, and current trends in the field. All topics will be explored using the perspective that diversity influences both development and implementation of early childhood programs and practices. PREREQ: Must have no less than a 2.0 overall GPA.
