Catalog description

This course introduces the fundamentals in business analytics and covers the basic programming techniques such as those in R, Python, SAS, and other comparable analytic software. Topics include introduction of business analytics, software installation and infrastructure, importing and exporting different types of data, manipulating, cleaning, and summarizing data, visualizing data, reading from and writing to files, writing and debugging basic scripts, implementing programming techniques for machine learning, including, but not limited to, regression analysis and classification, as well as reporting data analysis results. PREREQ: A “C” or better in MAT 1070 or in DSC 2090
