This course explores the fundamental principles and clinical applications of the immune system, with an emphasis on human immunity. Students will delve into the development and function of immune cells, the mechanisms of immune responses, and the interplay between immunity and disease. Topics include innate and adaptive immunity, antigen recognition, immune system development, mucosal immunity, and the role of the immune system in autoimmunity, allergies, organ and tissue transplantation, and cancer.
