Catalog description

The course will explore the practical methodology involved in teaching art on the secondary level. Topics include: development and organization of appropriate content and design for a secondary-school curriculum, classroom management, techniques for engaging different styles of learning, and cross-cultural issues. Lesson plans for the development of age appropriate skills will be devised and implemented as well as offering critical starting points for research. PREREQ: Graduate Standing
