Catalog description

This course provides an overview of the examination of various types of information and data from various sources with regard to occurrences of financial crime. The examination of data from application systems or underlying databases (structured data) is explored as well as data taken from communication and office applications or from mobile devices (unstructured data). Identification and analysis of patterns that lead to the discovery of fraudulent activity is a key outcome. PREREQ: ACC 5550 and ACC 5551 or instructor’s permission
