Catalog description

An introductory course in psychopathology, assessment, and treatment, focusing on problems encountered most frequently in an outpatient community clinic. Structured interviewing, as well as behavior and cognitive interventions, will be covered in relation to unipolar depression, anxiety disorders, and other common forms of psychopathology. Students will learn to approach the research, assessment, and treatment of these problems as clinical scientists.
