Catalog description

Information abounds, and it can be hard to decipher when to trust a reported analytic result and when to be skeptical. Building from students' prior knowledge of statistical inference and research design, this course provides practice and guidance on critical thinking when reading or viewing data analytic results in psychology and neuroscience. The primary goal of this course is to provide students with data analytic literacy that can be used in academic and real-world settings (e.g., evaluating AI generated responses; news reports; influencers).
