This course examines social influences on child and adolescent development, with a focus on advanced research methods in social-developmental psychological science. Topics include socializing agents of development (e.g., parents, peers, media), relationships and identity development, and the influence of social processes in developmental outcomes (e.g., academic outcomes, sexual behavior, mental health).
