This course will study Brazil and Afrofuturism in the context of race and intersectionality and the significance of envisioning Black identity in the modern African Diaspora. Its format includes lectures, in-class groups, plenary discussions, activities outside the classroom (The Ackland Museum), workshops (Combative room), and student presentations. It is taught in English.
