Catalog description

This course introduces students to the financial and economic analysis of real estate development. It imparts to students the applied skills used by public and private professionals working in the real estate sector. Throughout the semester, students will learn commercial real estate product types, amortization and cash flows, valuation and appraisal techniques, investment analysis, commercial leasing and negotiation, and the development process. Students will navigate case studies and engage with professionals working in the field. By the end of the semester, students will be able to complete an analysis for a real estate acquisition or new development project.
