An introduction to philosophy focusing on several great books from the history of Western philosophy. See course description at the department's website for which books will be covered each semester. Special emphasis on practicing, engaging in, and discussing the activity of oral communication and communal deliberation. Students may not receive credit for both PHIL 113 and PHIL 110 .
