Immersion Experience in Health System is designed to apply foundational knowledge from the classroom and develop pharmacy practice skills within the context of a health system, to engage students in the medication use process, and provide an opportunity for student pharmacists to apply a consistent approach to patient care, as exemplified in the Pharmacists' Patient Care Process. Applying foundational knowledge in the practice setting and developing skills in health-system pharmacy practice is essential for students prior to entering more advanced clinical experiences. This Immersion Experience will be conducted in an inpatient setting.
