Catalog description

Introduces the basic principles of food and nutrition security from a global lens; addresses nutrition in emergencies and humanitarian contexts; and the role that nutrition security plays in improving the health and well being of populations. Aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills required to conduct population and community-based nutrition research, to assess the food and nutrition security status of vulnerable population groups. Will cover key aspects related to food security interventions, taking into consideration cultural, social, geo-political and environmental dimensions in conflict- affected settings and humanitarian contexts, with a focus on the Middle East and North Africa.
