Catalog description

This course provides nurse practitioner students with applied clinical and laboratory experiences in sexual and reproductive health across the lifespan, with emphasis on prenatal and postpartum care. Students will integrate family-centered and culturally responsive approaches while developing advanced assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and management skills for sexual and reproductive health conditions. Through supervised clinical practice (90 hours) and simulation/laboratory learning (22.5 hours), students demonstrate competency in patient care, interprofessional collaboration, and evidence-based decision-making.
