Algebraic curves: local and global properties. Tangent lines, smooth and singular points, intersection multiplicities. Projective curves, degree, Bezout's theorem. Dual curve, Plucker formulas. Complex numbers, some complex analysis, Riemann surfaces. Applications in control theory, robotics, error-correcting codes.
