Motion practice oral advocacy is non-trial advocacy in front of a judge or tribunal, often regarding motions, hearings, or orders. Examples include hearings regarding default or summary judgment, injunctions, probable cause, and sentencing. Such advocacy fills the majority of time lawyers spend in courtrooms. This course gives students a comprehensive understanding of this style of advocacy and trains them in it by giving feedback and repeated practice on specific areas of their performance.
