AI in Practice: Governance, Compliance & Contracting.

Catalog description

This course introduces students to legal and business challenges of adopting AI, managing related risks at both the program and project level, and contracting for AI. Using realistic scenarios from the fast-evolving AI space, students will learn to create AI policies, evaluate AI vendors, negotiate contracts involving AI tools, and advise on relevant compliance, IP, privacy, and liability issues. The course will emphasize applying governance frameworks and managing competing stakeholder priorities in practical exercises.
