Catalog description

This course explores how legislation is developed, negotiated, and enacted, with a particular focus on the practical realities of lawmaking. Each session, individuals involved in lawmaking will meet with the students to discuss their experiences. Topics to be covered include campaigning, sponsoring bills, lobbying, working across the aisle, holding leadership positions, among others.
