In this course, we will unravel the unique histories, shared experiences, and contemporary challenges faced by Korean diasporic communities around the world. Through discussions and critical analysis of the written and visual materials, we will explore how these diverse communities negotiate their place in the global and local stages, challenging stereotypes and forging new pathways. Students are expected to gain a profound understanding of the Korean diaspora, appreciating its complexity, diversity, and global impact.
