Catalog description

The course focuses on approaches to planning programs that promote individual and community health. It will enable students to understand the essential steps in the program planning process, needs assessments, establishing goals and objectives, and selecting and developing program strategies. The course offers a unique opportunity for students to design a program that addresses a public health issue of interest and emerging threats in global health. Students will apply their experiences and evidence to develop a program based on a topic identified in the preceding Systems Thinking course, HPM 966 , or any other area they would like to consider.
