This graduate-level course examines contemporary perspectives on defining, measuring, and advancing healthcare quality for all populations across research, policy, and practice contexts. The course emphasizes critical appraisal of evidence, the role of policy and governance, and the translation of research findings into practical strategies for enhancing care delivery. Students will examine conceptual frameworks, methodological approaches, and implementation strategies used to assess and improve upon healthcare quality for all populations. A central component of the course is a semester-long culminating project in which students synthesize course concepts to design, assess, or propose an initiative to improve healthcare quality for all.
