Data Science Applications in Exercise, Sport, and Movement Science.

Catalog description

The goal of this course is to give students an introduction to and hands-on experience with all phases of the data science process and applications to exercise, sport, and movement science. Topics that will be covered include data formats, loading, and cleaning. This course will also concentrate on the concepts and structures necessary to design and implement a database system as well as basic programming with open source software to help navigate databases and conduct basic analyses. Fundamental ethical issues in data science will also be covered.
