Sport Communication.

Catalog description

This course introduces students to professional communication in sport contexts. Contexts of focus are media (i.e., broadcast and digital) and organizations related to sport. Through readings, in-class activities, lectures, group projects, and guest speakers, students learn about the development of communication professions and practices in sport media and organizations, strategic approaches to communication challenges and opportunities in these contexts, the role of research and social forces in sport communication, and vocational paths in sport communication.
