Catalog description
Students will learn about historical and contemporary environmental challenges, exposures and health outcomes. Employing theories and frameworks derived from sustainability and health disparities literature, students will examine the social, economic, and political conditions that shape human-environment interactions and environmental risks and health outcomes. Students will also learn how social movements and approaches that center health as a human right have helped underserved populations to advocate for just public policies.
