Catalog description

This course provides students with the introductory skills and knowledge necessary to identify, review, critically evaluate, and analyze scientific evidence, enabling them to make informed decisions in environmental health sciences and engineering. Through hands-on, practical activities and participation in ongoing desk-based ('dry lab') research projects, students will learn to synthesize scientific evidence to inform their decision-making. The course will emphasize the development of practical skills in evidence assessment, data analysis, and effective scientific communication.
