Writing Flash Fiction.

Catalog description

Flash fiction asks a story to deliver its core elements - character, place, time, plot, conflict, resolution - in the shortest space possible. Through tiny fictions, students will explore language, idea, and discovery, then workshop those fictions in a supportive setting. Students will discuss the elements of contemporary fiction - narrative style, voice, dialogue, structure, simple and yet foolproof ways to engage with a reader - and apply what they have learned to their own work.
