Catalog description

This hands-on creative writing workshop explores the art of storytelling through the unique medium of sequential art, focusing on developing the essential skills needed to write compelling narratives for a visual format. Students will learn to write and format professional comics scripts, interrogating core narrative elements like plot structure, character development, pacing, and dialogue. While we will learn to use Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator to translate scripts into visual stories, we will focus on the craft of writing. No previous experience as a visual artist is required.
