Catalog description

This course explores how Earth's natural systems work, emphasizing the ecological processes that confer resilience. Students examine how these systems respond to global change, gaining insight into the science behind ecosystem stability. Students will examine these environmental problems through an interdisciplinary lens by investigating how economic, social, and political frameworks inform conservation and restoration efforts, by applying quantitative tools and methods from non-science disciplines to synthesize information and develop a holistic understanding of complex environmental challenges.
