Required preparation: any introductory geology course. This course develops the knowledge and skills teachers need to implement student-centered, inquiry-based earth science instruction at any level level by teaching instructional design and cognitive science and learning theories. Primary literature review and development of lesson modules will be complemented by classroom observations and teaching experiences in formal and informal settings.
