This course will prepare pre-service teachers for teaching social studies. The emphasis of the course is "how" to teach social studies, as well as some theoretical exploration of the history, purposes, and direction of social studies. Students will learn, practice, and reflect on the technical aspects of the art and science of teaching social studies.
